Eucharistic Visitors
The bishop licenses Eucharistic Visitors to provide Holy Eucharist under the direction of the Clergy. They administer this spiritual feast to the homebound monthly and to hospitalized parishioners each Sunday.
Koinonia
Koinonia groups exist to provide neighborly comfort and provision in times of acute family need and to foster our sense of community among Christ Church members. Neighborhood groups are formed to include every parishioner in Christ Church. Some groups meet for seasonal celebrations.
Koinonia groups welcome newcomers and new babies, send cards to older parishioners, and offer support, prayer, and food for those who are ill or bereaved. Koinonia also provide a network for Disaster Preparedness Response, so church neighbors can help one another in times of disaster.
Recovery Ministries
Recovery Ministries works to increase awareness about the disease of alcoholism, to provide education about various diseases of addiction, and to be a resource for families of addicted persons or for persons experiencing problems relating to their addiction.
Guild of the Good Shepherd
Parishioners who provide companionship, comfort, and support to homebound parishioners, who are termed their "Friends". They lend extra support to older members to combat their feelings of isolation and helplessness and to provide a strong link between the homebound and their church home.
A Guild member spends time with his/her parishioner weekly or biweekly and often performs small services for them such as telephoning, doing errands, taking to lunch, driving to church, or other special treats.
Please inform the clergy if you know someone who might benefit from a Guild of the Good Shepherd relationship.

Order of Saint Luke (OSL)
OSL is an international, interdenominational group of people dedicated to Christ's ministry of healing. It is devoted to promoting wholeness of mind, body, and spirit. Members make weekly visits to hospital patients, then meet to offer intercessory prayer for people on their prayer lists. Each member prays daily for individuals on the list.
A Christ Church OSL member is available after the late service on Sundays for individual prayer and laying on of hands for healing, and may be found at the side altar. OSL members also assist at the Wednesday service of Holy Eucharist with Healing Rite.
OSL sponsors a Sunday afternoon healing service including scripture readings, prayer and the laying on of hands at Christ Church approximately three times a year.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
This is a ministry of loving prayer and comfort. Members knit cozy shawls or wraps for recipients, known or unknown, praying for them during the process of creating the article. Groups gather monthly to knit together and to pray together for the recipients, incorporating the loving concern of the community into the pieces. Shawls may be given to persons who are ill, lonely, bereaved, or struggling to cope with a painful life event, providing a strong physical and spiritual reminder of the love of Christ and the Church for them.
